The Biological Sciences Graduate Congress (BSGC) is an annual activity undertaken by three collaborating universities: the University of Malaya (UM), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Chulalongkong University (CU), which take turns to host the event. Over the years, the BSGC has gained prominence as a premier congress in the Asia Pacific region. Its unique feature of a congress wholly organised by graduate students for graduate students has attracted participation from many academic and research institutions in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, India, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Good quality scientific papers are presented in an atmosphere of friendly competition for awards.

The 15th BSGC will incorporate 4 Themes to cover the vast areas of biological science research. The themes are: Biochemistry and Physiology, Biodiversity and Ecology, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, and Cell and Molecular Biology.
